Starting with the next update (2.15.1), your account settings will begin displaying information about the available tokens on your PRO plan:
When making requests to Chaos Control AI, depending on the selected model, you will see how many tokens the new request will consume:
Similarly, token consumption will be shown in the audio/video file dialogs when performing transcription and summarization operations:
This way, you will see how many tokens a given operation will consume before you run it. This approach makes it easier to decide which model to use for a specific task.
More About Version 2.15.1
We are showing this mechanic in advance because, starting with the release of 2.15.1, all new PRO licenses purchased from that point forward will be billed under the new model, in which:
The available token count will reset on the first day of each new month
The number of available tokens will be determined by the PRO plan type (PRO 10 — 10 tokens per month, PRO 100 — 100 tokens per month, PRO 1000 — 1000 tokens per month)
At the same time, for all PRO licenses purchased before the release of 2.15.1, the pricing will work as follows:
The available token count will be double the plan value (for PRO 1000, that means 2000 tokens)
Tokens will refresh every Monday
This means that PRO licenses bought before 2.15.1 will provide 8 times more CC tokens compared to licenses purchased after that point. The release will take place in the coming days (tentatively early next week).
We therefore recommend getting PRO now if you haven't already, and especially consider the lifetime PRO 1000, since the new Perplexity PRO model is only available on this plan (learn more here).
