New models will be integrated using technologies from OpenAI, Grok, DeepSeek, and Claude. All of this is in addition to our current Perplexity engine, for which we will also upgrade to a more powerful model compared to the current one.
As a result, the following changes will be made to the PRO plan.
Switch to Monthly Limits
Currently, for example, the PRO 100 plan provides 100 AI requests per week. Starting June 1, PRO plans will operate under the following model:
PRO 10 – 10 AI requests and 10 minutes of AI audio processing per month
PRO 100 – 100 AI requests and 100 minutes of AI audio processing per month
PRO 1000 – 1000 AI requests and 1000 minutes of AI audio processing per month
IMPORTANT: This change will only affect PRO licenses purchased after June 1st. Users who have already purchased a license before that date will keep the same weekly limits they currently have. This means the change only applies to new customers. If you already have a license, everything will remain as it was.
Usage of AI Request Limits
Starting June 1, using certain new advanced models will consume multiple requests per interaction. For example sending a request to Chaos Control AI using the new powerful Perplexity model will use 3 requests at once for chat conversations and up to 5 requests per minute of AI audio transcription when processing long audio notes or meeting recordings
At the same time, usage of the current model will continue to be counted under the old model - one request is one request (no multiplier).
So more powerful models will use more requests but deliver higher-quality results. You will be able to switch between models to strike the right balance for your needs.
What This Means for You
If you don't have a PRO license yet, purchasing it before June 1st will lock in the best terms with weekly limit resets instead of monthly (simply put, you'll get about 4 times more requests per month). If you already have a license, your limits will remain weekly for the entire duration of your current license (including lifetime licenses).
